Yesterday I attended the Silent Ceremony at the Guildhall for the Admission of the new Lord Mayor Alan Yarrow. It was a most dignified ceremony where the outgoing Lord Mayor transferred the mayoral insignia to the incoming Lord Mayor.
On November 4th HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron of the Anglo-Swedish Society, held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to mark his 60th year as Patron.

The Swedish chef Karim Rezaul has done it again! This was the third time that Rezaul was selected as the Curry Life European chef of the year.
The first thing that passengers see when landing at George Best Airport in Belfast is IKEA.
It was great to be back in Belfast and a lot has happened since I was here last. The first thing I noted when landing was of course IKEA. Driving through the city centre I quickly detected a large H&M store.

I am very proud that the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Sweden agreed to an exceptional loan of the remarkable Rembrandt painting “The Conspiracy of the Batavians under Claudius Civilis”. This is the first time ever that the painting has been shown in the UK.
