The Bridge at Nordicana
Yesterday I introduced the concluding episode of The Bridge at Nordicana. Fortunately I could also announce that the writer Hans Rosenfeldt is working on the third part of the series. That seemed to please the more than 1000 people in the audience. They were even more excited when Sofia Helin (Saga) entered the stage.
Stroke Prevention and Management
In collaboration with BusinessSweden the Swedish Embassy today hosted a seminar on the “Prevention and Management of Stroke – Today and Tomorrow”. The seminar had attracted some of the leading British and Swedish experts on the subject. The speakers were outstanding and there was a tremendous amount to learn about the subject.
Swedish Lucia Celebrations in London
The annual candlelit Lucia procession on 13 December is one of our favourite Swedish traditions, with girls and boys dressed in white full-length robes singing songs together. Every town, every school and nursery in Sweden crown their own Lucia.

Last week the Swedish Deputy Prime Minister Jan Björklund and The Minister for European Affairs Birgitta Ohlsson visited London. Björklund met his counterpart the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Birgitta Ohlsson had meetings with her counterpart the Minister for European Affairs David Lidington as well as with James Brokenshire, MInister for Security at the Home Office.
