Trooping The Colour 2015

There is no country that does pomp and circumstance better than Britain. On Saturday I once again had the pleasure of attending Trooping The Colour. It is quite an elaborate ceremony and the origins of Trooping The Colour are fascinating. Already in the Middle Ages banners or “Colours” were used to serve as a rallying point on the battlefield. It also helped troops recognise their Colours in the chaos of the battlefield.
