Swedish Minister for Financial Markets in London
This week Per Bolund, Swedish Minister for Financial Markets and Consumer Affairs visited London to hold talks with Economic Secretary Harriet Baldwin. During his visit Bolund gave a talk at LSE on “Financing a Sustainable Future – Risk and Responsibilities” and at the conference “Responsible Investor. Bolund also gave a breakfast presentation on “Green Investments” at the Swedish residence. The breakfast included a wide range of expertise on the topic in the form of Anglo-Swedish companies, representatives from the central and local governments, the Green Investment Bank and the British and Scottish business confederations.
Sweden and the UK are both at the forefront when it comes to pushing for ambitious targets related to climate change, both in the EU and in the global arena. Both countries clearly see that green investments are critical in order for companies to stay competitive in the long term.
