Rock the House in UK Parliament

Rock the House is the UK Parliament’s biggest competition raising awareness of Intellectual Property rights among parliamentarians, but also the importance of live music. It was founded by the Conservative MP Mike Weatherley. It is no secret that Mike Weatherley is a fan of heavy metal and rock music. He is also very committed to promoting the creative industries.

Rock the House invites each British MP to nominate a solo-artist or a band to join the competition. There is even a category for the under 18s. The result is impressive and I had the opportunity to see the winners in the different categories perform in Parliament. I think it would be a good idea for the Swedish Parliament to take on something similar.
