Liberal Democrats Conference in Glasgow
This week I attended the Liberal Democrat conference in Glasgow. It is always interesting to attend party conferences and hear the latest on policy development. It is also a great opportunity to see friends within the Liberal Democrat camp as well as colleagues. The Liberal Democrat leader attended the international reception and gave an interesting speech that touched on both Europe and Syria, but also Scotland.
With exactly one more year before the referendum on Scottish independence the State Secretary for Scotland Michael More gave a very clear message on the importance of keeping the family together.
In his speech at the close of the conference the Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg argued that coalition politics in Britain are here to stay. That would no doubt be an interesting development in British politics.
