Sweden at Monocle Fayre
There are few things that are as popular a home made Swedish cinnamon buns. It is fun to watch the faces of British children who come across this Swedish speciality. After one taste they definitely want more.
It has become a bit of a tradition for the Swedish Embassy to particpate in the Monocle summer fayre. One of our major features is to offer home made cinnamon buns to all the visitors. This year children also got beautiful Midsummer wreaths and it was great to see a lot of British children all geared up for a Swedish Midsummer. The fayre continues throughout the weekend and is well worth a visit. Many thanks to our Swedish chef Lars Göransson for baking all the cinnamon buns. I would also like to thank all the wonderful volunteers who helped us out over the weekend.
